The Italian Secretariat of PRIMA, with Prof. Riccaboni, takes part to the second edition of the Ponza PRIMA Med event, realized in collaboration with Union for the Mediterranean, RIDE– the Italian Network for EuroMed Dialogue, Anna Lindh Foundation, and Prospettive Mediterranee, at the presence of Representatives of the European Commission in Italy, the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Italian Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry Policies, the Italian Ministry of the South and Territorial Cohesion, the Italian Ministry for European Affairs and several Members of Parliaments, as well as representatives of local authorities.
The Ponza PRIMA Med event, that will be held in Ponza on September 14 and will include an Inter-institutional Conference on Sustainable Development. The conference will be the occasion to launch the Euro-Med Manifesto for sustainable development, climate change and circular economy. PRIMA and SDSN-Med valorize these issues, with studies, analyses, and funds to research and innovation in the fields of water management, sustainable agriculture, and food value chain, which are key drivers for the economic development of the region and the protection of health.
During the event, it will be presented a proposal for restoring and valorizing Villa delle Tortore in view of creating a multi-functional laboratory for education, training, and research in the field of sustainable development.
